NBC Women Missionary Union Focus week 2020 held at Beulah Baptist Church, Ile-Ife

The Annual Baptist Women’s Missionary Focus Sunday (Week) was observed at BEULAH BAPTIST CHURCH, Ile-Ife today Sunday 26th of January 2020, as our mothers led us throughout the Service .

So, the Baptist Women’s Theme for this year Focus Week is also the same as that of the Nigerian Baptist Convention for year 2020 which is: “MOVING FORWARD: Becoming a More Disciplined Church” and the text is taken from Hebrew 12:5-6.As expected during the course of the service, Members of Beulah WMU were Recognized and Appreciated for their good works in the organization and they were even encouraged never to relent.

we also witnessed the send forth for the Bejis as they would no longer worship with us again and several people testified about Mrs Beji’s involvement in the things of God; how she has been making herself available in the Decorating Unit; her competency in the Ushering Unit; Sanitation Unit and her readiness when it comes to Mission Work in WMU.

Also there were promotions; Sunbeam members were promoted into the Royal Ambassdor and Girls Auxiliary Organization and some G.A’s were promoted to Lydia Auxiliary.
In addition, Drama Unit ministered and emphasis was laid on the Theme for this Year’s WMU focus week, the playlet pictured several cases of indiscipline in the Church; lateness to Church; Using of phones during Service which is mostly common among youths and gisting when service is going on.

The Church Pastor, Rev. J.A Abegunde, rounded the events of the day off with A Short Charge by laying more emphasis on some acts of indiscipline in the Church citing examples of some Unit leaders coming late to meetings, he further explained that for us to be successful as a church we have to be disciplined. He also emphasised and challenged every member of the Church, disciples of Jesus Christ, to be more disciplined in thought, speech, actions and reactions, that we should not take things for granted because of the doctrines our denomination as Baptist permit.After the exhortation, the new MMU Chairman, Dn Dr Oyedare, prayed for all the mothers and then the Service was closed with Closing Prayer and Benediction.
