RE-UNION SERVICE AT BEULAH BAPTIST CHURCH Ile-Ife TODAY as the 2020 YOUTH WEEK COMMENCES

Sunday, the 7th of June 2020, the light from above shining on a well fumigated and serene environment, members marched in saintly manner, having observed all cleansing protocols, definitely Beulah Baptist Church, ile-ife was a no go area for Corona Virus.

Everyone maintaining Social distancing, it was a good time to be back in the house and presence of the Lord. It was all set for a Reunion service, with the Youths directing the service as the Sunday marked the beginning of the Annual Youth Week for the year 2020.

The Set Man of the Church, Rev.J.A. Abegunde signaled the beginning of the service with an opening prayer followed by the handing over of the Church to the Youths, Pastor Olanrewaju Peter received the mantle signalling the commencement of the 2020 Youth Week.

The Youth Praise team charged the environment with songs of worship and praise, giving us what we have all missed and have thus eagerly gathered to hear as people of God danced away to the shame of the COVID-19.

Following a glorious worship session, the Youth Pastor, Pastor Olanrewaju Peter mounted the pulpit to charge us with the word. The topic was: “A LIVING FAITH, as that is the theme of the youth week for the year 2020 and our text was taking from the Hebrews 10:36-39;11:1-10.
The Youth Pastor charged us on exercising a living a faith, as he pointed out there is equally a dead faith, as faith without works is dead, just as how we have waiting faith and long term faith.

He therefore charged us to exercise a living faith and live a life that exemplifies such, after which he lead us into a session of prayer.

With the Young Pastor having done justice to the word for the day, Deaconess Yemi Ajayi led us in Prayers for the Youths of the church.

Feeling refreshed and strength renewed by the service, we sang a hymn of faith, “My hope is built on nothing else”, as we reaffirmed our stand on the Solid rock.

We were reminded by the Youth General Secretary, Bro. Abegunde Pelumi to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols even as we depart and also informed that come Next Week Sunday, we will be having our First and Second Service. The First Service will run from 8am to 9am, with a period of 30 minutes interval, the second service will commence by 9.30am.

The glorious service was brought to an end by the Youth Pastor and a perfect reunion service was brought to a close.
